MHM’s Quick Change Pallets Cut Set Up Times In Half

"We had been using a well-known brand of automatic press for about five years, but we were pulling our hair out. Our business does a lot of setups. We’re probably moving about 100 screens a day on about 30 jobs that vary from baby dolls to T-shirts to full zip hoodies. We were constantly having to re-level the pallets.

I went the Specialty Graphics & Imaging Show in Minneapolis to check out the MHMs. I asked the sale rep, ‘Do you guys have to re-level the pallets all the time?’ He just gave me this blank stare. He showed me the pallet and there was no way to level it. It was always level.

Over one weekend, we took out the old presses and installed three MHMs: the Synchroprint 4000 16 color and the Synchroprint S-type eight color and 12 color. We now set up a 10-color job in about 8 minutes. It’s a world of difference.

They are the only press company I know that has automatic registration. It’s called "Go To." You set up one screen and you hit “Go To” and every other screen goes to the same registration. When the job gets to the press, it doesn’t matter if it’s high density, eight color, two color, gets foil, it doesn’t matter. They all run exactly the same."

A few years ago I purchased two MHM Printing Machines for different applications.

The idea behind was to find a proficient graphic machine which would enable us to perform most challenging and precise printing jobs. It was the right decision. The machine flawlessly accommodates us with stunning precision, repeatability and powerful control over variables.

Indeed we can print complex raster multi-coloured jobs on different substrates ranging from thin paper to very thick plastic sheets. Compared to digital printing, the machine has indisputable advantages: we can use all types of ordinary and mixed inks, varnishes, other printing stuff aimed to achieve captivating special effects.

Our imprints, no matter how intricate our designers make them, are ready within one index cycle of the machine. The cost of imprint is less, production capacity higher, end price more competitive and appealing to our customers. When we show our imprints to the customers, they can not believe that it is only printed and no special substrates have been used. I think it is a great praise which a printer and their printing machine can get.

Now I state it clearly that I am quite contented with the performance of the machine and happy about the choice I made.
